Editorial Standards
We reject more submissions than we accept, and almost always for the same reason: the piece restates advice the reader has already found somewhere else. What gets published tells the reader something they could not have guessed.
- Original and exclusive. Not published elsewhere, now or later — including on your own blog or Medium.
- 1,200–2,000 words. Long enough to be useful, short enough to stay tight.
- Specific over general. First-hand experience, real numbers, actual examples. Anecdotes beat adjectives.
- Structured. Clear subheadings, short paragraphs, no wall of text.
- Sourced. Link any statistic or claim to a credible source. We fact-check.
- Written for humans. AI-assisted drafting is fine; unedited AI output is obvious and gets rejected.
- Links. A link to your own site belongs in your author bio. Links inside the body should point to sources that help the reader, not to your own site or product.

What We Don't Publish

- Pure product promotion dressed as an article
- Submissions whose real purpose is the link rather than the reader
- Fabricated statistics, invented quotes or unattributed claims
How to Submit
Pitch first. Do not send a finished draft before we have agreed on the topic — it wastes your time more than ours.
1. Send a short pitch. Email hello@interviewace.online with the subject line Guest post pitch: [your topic].
2. Include three things. A working title, a three-to-five line outline, and a link to something you have written before. If you want a link in the piece, name the target URL up front.
3. Wait for a yes. If we accept the pitch, we will confirm the angle and the deadline. Only then do you write the full draft — Google Doc or Markdown, either is fine.
What Happens After You Submit
- Within 5 business days: we reply to every pitch, including the ones we decline.
- One edit round: we send comments; you revise. We do not rewrite your piece without telling you.
- Live within about a week of final approval, with the URL sent to you once it is up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept articles that were published elsewhere?
No. We only publish original work that has not appeared anywhere else, including your own blog or Medium, and we ask that it stays exclusive to us after publication.
Can I include a link to my own website?
In your author bio, yes. Links inside the article should point to sources that genuinely help the reader — we do not accept submissions built around placing a link to your own site in the body.
What topics do you accept?
Job interviews, interview preparation, hiring, recruitment, salary negotiation, career strategy and the effect of AI on all of the above. Anything outside that is an automatic decline.
Do you accept AI-written articles?
Using AI to draft or edit is fine — we care about the finished piece. Unedited AI output, with no first-hand insight or specifics, is rejected on sight.
How long does the whole process take?
We reply to pitches within five business days. After the draft is approved, the post is usually live within a week.
