Terms of Service
Effective 3 September 2026 · Last updated 3 September 2026
The short version. InterviewAce gives you AI-generated suggestions to help you prepare for and get through job interviews. You are responsible for what you say and for following the rules of whoever is interviewing you. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you can cancel or delete your account at any time. We cannot promise the AI will be right, and we cannot promise you a job.
These terms are a contract between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("InterviewAce", "we", "us"), covering the InterviewAce website, web app and mobile apps (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who can use InterviewAce
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding contract where you live. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
2. What the Service does
InterviewAce provides AI-generated interview assistance. Depending on your plan, that includes resume parsing, practice questions and mock interviews with spoken feedback, and live sessions in which audio you capture is transcribed and used to generate suggested answers, grounded in the resume and job description you supply.
The Service is a drafting and preparation aid. It does not provide legal, financial, medical, immigration or career advice, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement.
3. Your responsibilities
Live interview assistance touches other people and other organisations' rules, so this section matters more than the usual boilerplate. You are solely responsible for how you use the Service, and in particular for the following.
Interviewer rules. Many employers, recruiters, universities and certification bodies prohibit outside assistance during an interview, assessment or exam. Some monitor for it. Using InterviewAce where it is not permitted can cost you the offer, the role or the qualification, and may breach an agreement you have made with them. Checking what is allowed is your responsibility, not ours, and we accept no liability for the consequences.
- Recording and consent. Live capture involves other participants. The law on recording conversations varies by country and, in the United States, by state — some require every participant to consent. You must make sure your use of live capture is lawful for everyone on the call, and get consent where it is required.
- Honesty. Suggestions are drafts, not facts about you. Do not use the Service to claim qualifications, experience or credentials you do not have. What you say in an interview is yours, and you are accountable for it.
- Other people's data. Do not upload documents containing other people's personal data unless you have the right to share them.
- Confidentiality. Do not put material into the Service that you are not allowed to disclose — your employer's confidential information, for example.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully, or to impersonate another person;
- break the rules of an exam, certification or assessment body, or of an interviewing organisation;
- share your account, or resell or sublicense access to the Service;
- scrape it, reverse-engineer it, or try to extract our prompts or models;
- circumvent plan limits, redeem codes you were not given, or abuse referrals;
- attack, overload or probe the Service or its infrastructure;
- upload malware, or content that is unlawful, hateful or harassing.
5. Your account
Keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly at hello@interviewace.online if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for activity under it. One account per person; accounts are personal and not transferable.
6. Plans, billing and renewal
- Current plans and prices are on our pricing page. Free features are provided as they are and may change.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you also accept Stripe's terms. We never see or store your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — weekly or monthly, depending on the plan you chose — at the then-current price, until you cancel.
- Prices are inclusive or exclusive of tax as shown at checkout. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to you.
- If a payment fails we may suspend paid features until it succeeds.
- We may change prices. Changes apply from your next billing period, and we will give you reasonable notice by email beforehand.
7. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your account settings, using "Manage subscription" to open the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription as part of the same action.
Consumers in the UK and EU have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase. Because the Service is digital content supplied immediately, you are asked to consent to immediate access at checkout and acknowledge that you lose that withdrawal right once delivery has begun. Nothing here affects your statutory rights where they cannot be excluded.
[CONFIRM REFUND POLICY] Outside the statutory withdrawal right, payments already taken are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or where we decide to make an exception. If something has gone wrong, email hello@interviewace.online and we will look at it.
8. Codes, referrals and free credit
Redemption codes and referral rewards have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may expire or be withdrawn. We may cancel credit obtained through fake accounts, self-referrals or other abuse, and may suspend the accounts involved.
9. Your content
Your resumes, job descriptions, answers and session data remain yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process and transmit that content to third-party AI providers strictly to operate the Service for you. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it. How we handle it is set out in our Privacy Policy.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload.
10. AI output
Suggestions are generated by AI models and are provided as is. They can be inaccurate, outdated, generic, or simply wrong about you, and similar suggestions may be given to other users. Review anything before you rely on it.
As between you and us, you own the output you receive, to the extent it is capable of being owned. We make no promise that AI-generated text is protectable or free of third-party rights.
We do not promise any outcome. InterviewAce does not guarantee you will pass an interview, receive an offer, or obtain any particular role or salary.
11. Our intellectual property
The Service — its software, design, prompts, text and branding — belongs to us or our licensors. You get a personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. Nothing else is granted.
12. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We depend on third-party AI providers, and their outages, model changes or retirements can affect what the Service can do. If we retire a paid feature you are actively paying for, we will give you reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a pro-rata refund.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms — in particular section 4 — if we are required to by law, or if your use puts the Service or other users at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss; for lost profits, lost opportunities, or a job offer, role or promotion you did not get; for reliance on AI output; or for any consequence of your use of the Service being prohibited by an interviewer, employer or examining body.
Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or €50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or content you upload that you had no right to upload. This does not apply to the extent the claim results from our own breach or negligence, and, if you are a consumer, it applies only so far as the law permits.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.
Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, where a change materially affects your rights, tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service afterwards means you accept the updated terms; if you do not accept them, cancel and stop using the Service.
19. Contact
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
